The role of schools in the study of distance education system.
(1) Discovery Lesson -:
It is a waste of time, the Distance Education System compare (VAS) of the Convention of education (CSE). It has been shown that DES is cheaper than the ESC. Able to pick up, millions of students, regardless of where they live. It allows them to learn at their own place and pace. The lessons are written in the mode of self-education. Audio and video media are used to establish the relationship between teacher and student. Nevertheless, the strong sense of isolation. Therefore, the support man with research centers at the highest level of the education system to create a distance. Each Open University of India established the infrastructure of the three tires (1) General Management (2) regional centers, and (3) study centers. Management Research Centre is one of the parts of the Directorate General for Taxation, guiding and monitoring the study centers of the University.
(2) Figure -:
functional organization of this Annex -1 to clarify this point.
(3) The role of Study Centres: –
This study centers, with a key role in meeting the needs won the academic needs of students and university management.
(1) is a mediator between the university and students.
(2) local resources are managed for conferences.
(3) inform the University plans and procedures for the company.
(4) It motivates students to learn better and more effectively, especially in consulting in contact with sperm.
(5) library also offers students.
(6) is provided, if necessary, laboratory practices for the students.
(7) The audio – visual aids are specially designed as an aid to orientation, as well as for self-study.
(8) organizes seminars and workshops.
Student records (9) and the supply of teaching materials.
(10) manages the assessment of the House of evidence, evidence for sex and place of the audit.
(4) liaison officers STAFF -:
The personnel functions study centers in the Annex -2.
The functions presented here are the features of the study centers and the staff working there needs to be exercised. No open universities in India, subject to the regular workforce, which is at the root in the study centers. This system is used based on the model. The employees who work there only in name to be trained. No control over the employees in learning centers. Therefore, to create research centers in developing distance learning is not fully compatible.
(5) Polls -:
Much of the research in this area also drew our attention to these issues.
(1) G. Banothlal Laxman Reddy (1996) "Evaluation of the provision of vocational training Open University", in "Dynamics of Distance Education", gave birth results with sperm in the consultation are assigned to one of contact listed below.
i) 60% of students are not satisfied with the quality of teaching.
ii) 75% of the students complain about frequent changes in the list of classes and the remainder cited personal problems as reasons for the visitors.
iii) 80% of students reported that the number of classes not sufficient to complete the course, and suggested there may be increased.
(2) VR Reddy (1994) student attitudes and suggestions for distance learning, distance learning: An interface Hyderabad: Braou drew the following conclusions.
82 of 92, that contact with the classes were very useful for them. Most students believed that all is not well with the type of contact. Suggested that should the number of classes of the contact can be increased. The duration of the classes of contact should be reduced from 2.00 bis 01.00 clock.
(3) Instead of the HCS (1991) A critical evaluation of the system for the management of teaching and learning in schools correspondence exists adopted in India. Draft report for the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, has New Delhi would lead to results given as follows.
Not more than 50 percent of the students are not satisfied with the service and facilities in the study centers.
Distance students with permission of the administration, the Council adopted the current services university library or school. But most of the time awareness programs on Sunday is a day of celebration for the university library.
These studies focus our attention on the operation of research centers, especially for the kind of touch that the main function of the school is considered. It is true that many students complain about the performance of the study centers, the behavior of employees who work there, their willingness and openness, and so on.
Therefore, you should do some research on this topic.
(6) cases of S. Research
Consider the source of these allegations, we find the probable causes that affect the functioning of the study centers.
i) The Director of the Institute / University feel universities grant conventional or customary to accomplish this task. And when we find out that there is no subsidy for this purpose, no attention has been furnished to the conduct of the study centers according to the rules for this purpose.
ii) the lack of training for teachers is to become a consultant. The methods used for reading classes instead of the consultation.
iii) The teachers in this activity, which in addition to their daily work and the demand for a competitive salary, and work on public holidays.
iv) the Director of the Institute / University believes that the study centers in universities, in order to reduce the strength of their regular students.
v) the head of institutions / schools in need of innovation activities through their schools. Therefore, study centers open in their schools, and force people to work. Employees can work with distaste.
be vi) There would be no comparison between the regular work of staff and work study centers. In this case, management has no collaboration with staff in learning centers.
vii) The non-university research is more theoretical. The study centers did not receive enough information to satisfy them.
There can be many other cases, must determine the investigation closely. To date, distance education have given too much emphasis on the development of distance education. Now you have to increase the quality in all parts of the system.
(7) an appeal: –
Once the causes are identified correctly, you should try to find solutions. The following are some proposed solutions to solve these problems.
(I) a clear understanding of the Court should at the heads of the institutions that should not give the university are given a grant.
(Ii) different types of training are needed, taking into account the different levels of staff in the school. Should be regularly carried out after an interval of one year.
(Iii) have the cost of the program and should without increasing taxes to pay for school directors are set to be carried out. can it is better to "get the Council to improve this a sideline, the bio-computer science and fulfill the social obligations. Everything that there is no money. They have created the intellectual satisfaction of working in distance learning. Not available with attractive salaries in the Convention of the education system.
(Iv) Students study centers are different from those of the Convention of education. No effect on the strength of the regular students. Therefore, this misunderstanding was cleared up.
(V) While the assignment of a center of study, interviews were held with staff of the universities and their opinion should be sought. If the confidence of the staff, the volunteers.
(Vi) is natural that the ordinary work / university staff should not suffer. Table of activity should be cautious, dass
(Vii) The University will have the necessary information in time to the study centers for the registration, supply of books, magazines, etc. available
(Viii) if possible, part-time assistant, who may, for the operation of equipment qualified to be appointed for each center to study the work for two hours in the morning and two hours later, and all day Sunday and holidays.
(Ix) Each research center with equipment that must operate as "Resource Center" should be equipped. Today, one in each center, you need a computer with the required software and the Internet. Who is to serve as recipients of information, storage, distribution and display of information. Even if students do not have time to see the transfer of interest or a consultation meeting to attend a course because of commitments elsewhere, the center is the registration of the assignment to manage and make available Student Center at a school of their choice and convenience.
(X) is a series of cultural programs organized Cetners collection office, sports, celebrations for the welcome and farewell ceremony later in public, etc.
(8) Conclusions –
Study centers are the backbone of the distance learning program installation. As long as they function independently, it remains a challenge for the staff to do their work properly.
